When it comes to the Blaze Tour 16, Wilson spared no expense, or effort to develop a paddle that blends together aspects of power, precision, and agility in to a single paddle design! Single-Piececonstruction and the Thermoformed Edge provides the foundation for excellent paddle stability (and therefore energy return), vibration control, along with improved durability. Combining its construction with an elongated shape, and 8.1 oz. average weight, serves to further improve on those aspects of the Blaze Tour 16’s performance. Harnessing power, and infusing control in to the formula, is a thicker 16mm. Polypropylene Honeycomb Core inserted between the Blaze Tour’s Raw Carbon Fiber surfaces. The former delivers some predictable power, with a lean towards core-based precision, making it easy to absorb pace, and maintain directional control of the ball. The latter supplies easy access to spin, allowing for point and shoot confidence from the backcourt, plus point owning accuracy in near the kitchen. Another benefit of the Blaze Tour’s 16.5 in. overall length, is a longer 5.5 in. handle, which encourages the control of points using one or two hands on the paddle. Topping off paddle quality, and comfort is Wilson’s use of PU (polyurethane) in the handle. For the intermediate, or more seasoned, all-court player, the Blaze Tour 16 is a most reliable partner for both doubles and singles strategies.
